After Sermet’s Downtown renovated earlier this year, it reopened with a new owner, a new look, and even a new name: Sermet’s Corner. But how’s the food?
Our food critic Robert Moss takes a look at the “Serious Burger” this week, the trend of burger-centric and non-burger centric to load up patties with pimento cheese, onion rings, fried green tomatoes, apple-smoked bacon, and whatever else they can think of. Which do you before: A gourmand tower of meat and cheese or a basic, flattened sandwich a la Bessinger’s or Five Guys?
Head to Tabbuli Grill on the Market for Mediterranean tapas (like this ceviche), cocktails, and a killer outdoor patio. You may want to avoid the cheeseburgers though.
