Since it’s “the last summer on Earth”, the Barenaked Ladies will perform a concert on Daniel Island along with some more of the ’90s best Top 40 alt-rock bands. Say what you will, but they have two billboard awards to your zero.

Yeah, this is Ketch and Critter from Old Crow Medicine Show (and most of the rest of the band) singing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” at their soundcheck yesterday. They repeated the performance at their pre-Spoleto show last night during their encore.

The more involved the process of making this album became, and the more  time it took, it became a major part of my whole life, not just my  musical life,” Lee Barbour says of his new album nonfiction. “A couple of these songs were composed  eight years ago.
